The apartment is situated in the Mijas Costa region of the Costa del Sol between Fuengirola and Marbella (approximately 30Km from Malaga airport). There are six, modern four-floor blocks set in gardens with three swimming pools. The apartment is on the third floor, facing southwest. The balcony looks out over the gardens, and a low lying cluster of picturesque villas, towards the sweeping bay of La Cala and the ocean. On clear evenings the mountains of North Africa are silhouetted by the sunset. The rear faces toward local mountains and a lighthouse.
The closest beach is ten minutes walk away, over the pedestrian bridge which crosses the coastal dual carriageway. Convenience stores/shops and a few restaurants are also within ten minutes walk. Five minutes drive away is La Cala bay, which has an excellent sandy beach and shops. There is also a racecourse nearby. Five minutes drive in the opposite direction is the town of Fuengirola with an aquapark, marina, beaches, shops, restaurants and a busy nightlife. Quality shopping is available half-an-hour's drive away in Marbella and the nearby marina of Puerto Banus.
There are superb golf courses at Mijas and La Cala. Picturesque mountain villages such as Mijas and Casares and the old Roman town of Ronda are well worth visiting. Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Estepona and Gibraltar are all within a day's visit for the more energetic.

The outside door is self-closing and operated by key or through intercom to the apartment. It opens onto a communal marble staircase leading up to a polished wood front door with a peephole. Inside, the hallway leads straight ahead to the sitting/dining area and to the right, to the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.
The main bedroom has twin beds, a hair dryer, patio doors onto the balcony and an en-suite bathroom with 2 matching basins, hydro-massage bath, toilet and bidet. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a view of the sea and La Faro working lighthouse from the rear. (A cot is available if required.) There is a separate family bathroom.
The sitting area has a 3-seater sofa bed, 2-seater sofa and an armchair. There is a wide-screen TV (Sky, no premium channels), a DVD / CD player and a selection of children's games. Large patio doors lead onto the balcony, which contains a table with six chairs and two permanent and four folding sun loungers. The dining area, at the back of the sitting room, has an extendable table, six chairs and high chair if required. In addition there are 5 poolside sun loungers for the exclusive use of our tenants.
The kitchen contains a dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, double sink and washing machine. Also 8 slice sandwich toaster, 4 slice toaster, steam iron, electric kettle, and vacuum cleaner. The utility area at the rear has space for one of the 2 large drying racks.
There is under-floor electric heating to rooms with marble floors (all except kitchen) and air-conditioning to both bedrooms and the sitting/dining area.
Bookings are normally from Wednesday 4pm to the following Wednesday 10am (some flexibility). A £150 refundable deposit is to be paid in advance. Please check availability (email or phone) before booking flights.

Bed linen and bath towels are supplied. A welcome pack can be provided on request (cost subtracted from refundable deposit or paid on arrival). The property manager will check the inventory before and after each booking. Strictly no pets and no smoking.
